Resolutions
August 13th, 2008
I don’t even believe in resolutions, so this post is nothing more than a mental list, a list of things I’m working towards, however slowly:
1. I don’t want to watch mindless TV.
2. I’m not going to check my Facebook several times a day.
3. Work e-mail can wait until Mondays.
4. I want to cook more.
What about you? What are you working towards?

So at work we always give our projects names… and I decided I’d take on a project for my personal life. I’m calling it “Project Fonz” (Fonz = happy days = me being happier living in the midwest until I take off for grad school…). So here’s my mental list of actions under Project Fonz:
1) Stick to my yoga 5x a wk
2) Start on “envelope budgeting” for big categories like food.
3) Put away all my $5 bills towards my “buy a dog” fund.
4) Feeling closer to friends - write a “for fun” email/make a call at least 2x a week
5) Writing more…
Fun list, Emily. On my *next* list, I’ve got to get exercise into my regular activities. Way to go with the yoga!
(Also, I love that you call it Project Fonz. Awesome.)
1. Keep up the job search.
2. Catch up on phone calls to out-of-town family and friends.
3. Start exercising at least three times a week. (I’ve been lazy for a long time now!)And in that vein…
4. Start saving for a bike.
5. Have the two-year where-is-this-going talk with my boyfriend. (I’m 32 and he’s 40, so…)
