PF Blog #1: English Major’s Money

March 2nd, 2008

I start with EM because her site is the one that originally drew me into PF blogs. I happened upon it last spring, in the midst of closing my grad degree and wondering just what kind of English-major-type job I’d be finding in the near future.

She remains my #1 favorite site, largely because of posts like this one, where she writes about that all-too-common feeling of wanting to be satisfied with your job, your choices. Of thinking of what you could be doing, wondering if that would be better somehow. Of thinking practically and idealistically.

Also, I appreciate just how blatantly honest she is about money, from what it’s like to be the one wanting to be frugal to how hard it can be sometimes.

Other highlights: great food tips, chronicles of grad school applications and a look into life in NYC.

StumbleUpon It!
