My favorite way to eat clementines: in the summer, sitting on the balcony at the beach!

lunch:

I get a couple of big bricks of cheese-- whatever's on sale, a couple of kinds, then cut them into 1 oz portions, wrap them in foil, and put them in a gallon ziplock bag in the fridge and grab one when I pack my lunch.

I keep a jar of marmelade at work and a bunch of sweet potatoes in my file drawer. We've always got butter around, left over from catered events. A baked sweet potato is great for days when I forget my lunch.

(PS thanks for being my first visitor!)

Hmmm, clementines!

My wife and I always have these around during winter. You are correct, easy to peel and usually it is a surefire burst of sweetness.

Last Nov. I was tramping around the woods in No. WI and had a number of tangerines in my rucksack (bright blaze orange ;-) ) at my stand. Unfortunately, I had not packed any water but boy I peeled one of those tangerines (which are bright orange too!) and bit into it, nice burst of juicy to help quench my thirst.

During the summer it is peaches & plums and when the clementines & tangerines disappear I will switch to apples.
