i am:
The blogger who inspired me to start This Writer’s Wallet, English Major, tagged me in the eight-random-things meme going around lately. Here are some random facts about moi:
1. Before their seasons ended, I watched LOST and Gilmore Girls religiously.
2. Today at work, I was interviewed by an FBI agent; apparently, a friend of mine from college is applying for some kind of security clearance.
3. If I could go anywhere, it’d be Prague.
4. Last June, I took the LSAT and came really close to attending law school.
5. I love, love, love rainy days.
6. The first time I was ever paid for an article, I made $30. I wanted to frame the check.
7. Today is my ex-boyfriend’s birthday. It’s weird how you remember those things.
8. I’m still getting used to the fact that I don’t answer phones or makes copies for my job. It could be a while before it fully sinks in.
Since I’d like to know more about them, I tag: Stealth Wealth, NIU Princess, Kim, Her Every Cent Counts and SF Girl.

I must confess that I loved watching Gilmore Girls (my wife got me into it). The banter was just classic. However, I think I got into it in its decline (the last 3 seasons). This past season was pretty flat.
I completely agree. Yet I still couldn’t stop watching because I’d been addicted for so long! I knew it wasn’t as good, but I kept coming back for more. And, decline and all, I’m sad it’s over.
Wow $30 for your first article! And I thought $50 was the lowest most people got paid.
I love Gillmore Girls too - the witty banter and the cool mother-daughter relationship I wish my mom and I had. I love and hated it when she got together with Logan but at least she didn’t run off and marry him.
And you’re one of my biggest inspirations for freelancing and pitching articles. The reason why I keep calling and writing pitches is because of your help.
Yeah for rainy days. I didn’t think there was anyone else like me.
SF: What’s amazing is that $30 for writing seemed grossly unfair to me to them–I couldn’t believe anyone would pay ME just to do something I loved! I wish I’d saved the check.
And thanks for that last comment–definitely warmed my heart.
Matt: The other day, I got to watch a bit of a thunderstorm from the window across my office. Then, on the drive home, the sky was dark, and everything was wet. It was a good day.
